In the event of any of these situations, this warranty shall be void. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.
SDI provides the following warranties on its products:
- For spinning hard drives, SDI warrants against defective parts for two (2) years.

If SDI determines, in its sole discretion, that a product is defective under the applicable warranty, SDI will attempt to repair the product at no additional charge (except for any delivery charges, which remain the customer's responsibility). SDI will replace the defective parts with, in its sole discretion, new parts or serviceable used parts that are equivalent to new in performance. If SDI determines, in its sole discretion, that a defective product cannot be repaired at reasonable cost, SDI will replace the product. All parts and products replaced under this warranty will become the property of SDI.

Drives may be reset to facilitate repair, and SDI bears no responsibility for any data remaining on the device. Do not ship your defective product to SDI before contacting customer support.
To make and process a warranty claim, complete the following steps:
- Obtain a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number by contacting customer support via the following link: https://www.securedata.com/support/request-rma.
- A customer support agent will do troubleshooting to see if the product is defective. If it is, then the following information is required:
- Your contact information.
- Product serial number.
- Proof of purchase.
- Credit card information for optional shipping services.
- The customer support agent will provide you with an RMA number and shipping information. Please be sure to write this down. The RMA number must be CLEARLY visible on the package/shipping label.
- Package the product securely. Do not include manuals, software, cables, or mounting brackets. SDI only repairs/replaces the defective unit and will not return other accessories. Include your contact information with your name, address, phone number, and RMA number inside the package.
- Send the product to the RMA fulfillment address given by the customer support agent. Clearly write your RMA number on the outside of the package you are returning. Customers are responsible for the freight charges to SDI. We suggest using a carrier that provides tracking information. SDI is not responsible for packages lost in transit. The repaired/replacement product is shipped by ground with shipping charges prepaid. Expedited shipping is available at extra cost.
