    SecureShredder for Windows

With SecureShredder you can remove files from your hard drive without fear they could be recovered. In order to remove files permanently from your system you have to use a program that is capable of rewriting the files with random series of binary data multiple times. This process is often called shredding. That way, the actual content of the file has been overwritten and the possibilities to recover such a shredded file are mostly theoretical.

    Proper Usage

When you delete a file, you've created an area on the disk that's designated as free and ready to accept fresh data. Luckily, unless that area has been overwritten, it retains the deleted contents, so corrupted file undelete recovery is still possible.

Important Note: it’s not possible to select System Drive. For example, if Windows is installed on Drive C, you cannot select it.

    Windows 10/8/8.1/7

    Shredding Algorithms: Simple erasure method:
Simple erasure method (quick), overwrites the files with pseudorandom data.

    Advanced erasure method:
Secure erasure method (slow) in accordance with DoD 5220.22-M data wipe method (US DOD Wipe Standard)

    File Eraser:

SecureShredder has integrated File Eraser which uses shredding algorithm to wipe single/multiply file/’s and an option to wipe entire folder.

Add File(s) - Click to add files ready to be shredded. A file picker will appear. Select one or more files and press open. The files will appear in main panel. You can add as many files as you want. Note that adding the files into shredding queue does not delete them and you can remove the files from queue later.

Add Folder(s) - Click to add folders ready to be shredded. A folder picker will appear. Select a folder and press open. The folder will appear in main panel. You can add as many folders as you want but you have to add them one by one. The whole folder structure is added including files and subfolders.

    Disk Eraser:

SecureShredder has integrated Disk Eraser which uses shredding algorithm to wipe entire disk or unused disk space.

Erase Free Disk Space - This option will shred unused or free disk space across the whole disk volume. For instance, this option is very useful if you haven't shred your unwanted files regularly but instead you used regular windows delete command and now you want your previously deleted files un-retrievable. Those files now cannot be shredded by picking them since they are already deleted. This option will enforce shredding of everything you have deleted once using the regular delete command, whether it was yesterday or months ago.

Erase Entire Disk Space - This option will shred all the data across the whole disk volume.

Standard License - Intended for small businesses and/or individuals.

    • One installation of the product.
    • Use for servicing an internal domain of up to 50 computers.

To have more than one installation or service a larger domain, an appropriate number of additional licenses must be purchased.

    Standard license limitations:

    • The product may not be used while rendering services to third parties.

Business License - Intended for small or medium businesses.

    • Three installations of the product.
    • Use for servicing an internal domain of up to 150 computers.

To have more than three installations or service a larger domain, an appropriate number of additional licenses must be purchased.

I have covered several drives here in the past and to be fair some of these are quite the kit with James Bond ringing about them and this one is no different but it has a trick up its sleeve compared to others when it comes to the tech aspect.
